This privacy policy applies to Cupid and WordSpace, games developed by Playful Labs and played through ChatGPT and Claude.

Overview

Our games are pass-through services. We don't create user accounts, track you across sessions, or store your conversations. We're stateless by design—each session starts fresh with no memory of previous play.

What We Don't Collect

  • No user accounts or profiles — You don't sign up with us
  • No personal information — No names, emails, phone numbers, or addresses
  • No device identifiers — No IP addresses, device IDs, or browser fingerprints
  • No conversation history — Your chats with the AI are not stored by us
  • No tracking cookies — We don't track you across the web
  • No analytics profiles — We don't build behavioral profiles

What We Do Collect

We maintain server logs for operational monitoring. These logs contain:

  • Timestamps — When tool calls occur
  • Tool names — Which game functions were invoked
  • Game state data — Character names, compatibility scores, word guesses, and similar gameplay data

These logs contain no user-identifying information. We don't know who made a request—only that a request was made. This is what we mean by "anonymized beancounting."

How Your Data Flows

  1. You interact with ChatGPT or Claude
  2. The AI calls our game server when needed
  3. Our server processes game logic and returns data
  4. The AI incorporates our response into your conversation

We never see your full conversation. We only see the specific tool calls the AI makes to our server.

When you play our games, you're primarily interacting with:

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, most data rights don't apply in the traditional sense. However:

  • Access — Our logs contain no personal identifiers, so there's nothing to provide
  • Deletion — Nothing personally identifiable is stored to delete
  • Portability — No personal data means nothing to export
  • Opt-out — You can stop playing at any time; no account to close

Data Retention

Server logs are retained for 90 days for operational and debugging purposes, then automatically deleted.

Children's Privacy

Our games are not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children. Access to ChatGPT and Claude requires their respective age requirements to be met.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of our games after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
